Laser Therapy

What is Laser Therapy?

Laser is an FDA-cleared modality that reduces inflammation and ultimately results in pain reduction. The Class IV Laser Therapy is effective in treating acute pain, chronic conditions, and post-op pain. Laser therapy is a drug-free, surgery-free technique to help make that goal a reality.

Is Laser Therapy Painless and Safe?

Laser therapy treatment is safe, painless, and fast. Deep Tissue Laser Therapy treatments are administered in 5 to 10 minutes. Patients may feel the effects at the first visit depending on the type of condition we are treating, but typically we will see results after 3 to 5 treatment sessions.

How does it work?

Deep Tissue Laser Therapy or Photobiomodulation uses your body’s own healing powers by speeding up the healing process in your cells. The therapeutic dose of light from the laser is absorbed into the tissue. This sets up a chain reaction in the area increasing the circulation to the damaged tissues. Increased blood flow brings in more oxygen, proteins, and energy to promote healing, and removes inflammation and waste. Despite the fast treatment times, the ramped-up healing process continues to actively reduce inflammation for up to 24 hours after treatment.

Who Makes the laser?

LiteCure Medical is the leader in scientific research and education in Laser Therapy. Laser therapy can alleviate pain, reduce inflammation and accelerate recovery from a wide range of old and new conditions in people of all ages.  It has been used to treat many musculoskeletal injuries including osteoarthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, and sprains and strains. It is also great post-operatively for wound healing, and decreasing pain and swelling.

I had Laser Therapy before without much success?

LiteCure Medical Laser’s are different than past Lasers. LiteCure provides class IV laser technology that is far superior to the old Class 2a lasers known as Cold Laser. High wattage class IV lasers enable rapid delivery of therapeutic doses of light, deep into the tissue, unlike Cold Laser which did not provide enough wattage. The deeper penetration and higher wattage facilitate the treatment of larger areas and the achievement of consistent results. Deep Tissue Laser Therapy by LiteCure Medical provides the right formula to get positive results every time.

Patient Testimonials

Here is what one of our patients had to say about Laser:

“After having elbow pain for the past 3 months and not being able to straighten my elbow. I had one session of laser and I was able to straighten my elbow almost all the way with no pain and less stiffness. I had 3 more laser sessions and manual therapy, with exercises to do at home now my elbow is as good as new. I have recommended the laser to my wife and friends”.
