Graston Technique

Forward Motion Physical Therapy is continuously Moving Forward and is now performing the Graston Technique.

The Graston Technique (GT) is an innovation in instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that allows the Physical Therapist to treat patients in a way not possible with other modalities or soft tissue approaches.

Soft tissue dysfunction – which includes scar tissue adhesions and fascial restrictions – results in pain, weakness and functional limitation for the patient.

The Physical Therapist performs a full evaluation on the patient and if appropriate GT treatment are combined with a targeted stretching and strengthening exercise program. Forward Motion Physical Therapy combines the Graston Technique with joint mobilizations techniques with the goal of restoring musculoskeletal balance and normalizing function.
